I've had some neat visitors around the house lately...

This handsome fellow is a young White Tail Buck that comes around almost every morning and tries to scavenge whats left of the green grass buried under the snow in the back yard.

This beauty has been hanging around outside our tree patch for the past couple of days. Did you know that young bald eagles don't have the signature white head and tail? They resemble more of an adult Golden Eagle because they are mostly brown and have a black beak instead of the yellow one like an adult Bald Eagle.

We have a large nest in a old Cottonwood Tree further up the road and we can usually spot a pair of eagles perched up high looking over the land. I never knew that eagles lived out on a prairie like ours, I've always imagined them in some place like Alaska.  It still amazes me every time I see one of these beautiful birds.

The Sharp-Tail Grouse have been making the tree patch behind our back yard their home and shelter so far this winter. We went outside to play and I found these cute little tracks all over the back yard.

And this lovely arrived in my porch last week. Its a Cath Kidston coffee mug and a pair of knitted dish scrubbies from my MIL. What a fun surprise! I love looking through the Cath Kidston catalog and I always seem to fall for all her pretty coffee mugs. They've finally set up a U.S. website that you can order from, yay!

Here is one of our gorgeous sunsets that a camera can never do justice, no matter how hard I try to take a good picture to share with you all.

Have a great week!
