Sparklies

Today we're supposed to get up to 95*, which I know for you southerners isn't very hot, and its not too hot for us, but around here we try to get our outside stuff done early in the morning while its still cool, and then spend the hot afternoon inside getting things done around the house.
After breaking the belt on the vacuum, and unloading the washing machine only to find out I've run a diaper through it (what a gel mess!) I decided Hazel and I needed to do something a little fun and take a break from cleaning. I decided that it was about time to paint Hazel's toe nails for the first time! Amazingly enough it went pretty darn good for an active two year old!

I'm sorry its not the greatest picture but, she wouldn't sit still after having "Sparklies" put on her piggies. My sister who has two little girls, 3 and 4, gave me a few pointers on how to get this accomplished without having a mess.

  • Work fast
  • Apply a thin coat so it dries fast
  • And have them wiggle their legs around because they think its a game, but its actually helping those piggies dry faster.

I love the pointers from your sister. There should be some sort of manual with little girls! :)
