Hazel likes to go into Grammy's back yard and pick her "flys" (flowers). She's been over there every other day it seems to pick more so we've had a beautiful supply of daffodils for about a week now.
A miracle plant! Penny dug up my bleeding heart plant at the end of the season last year and I really didn't expect to see anything there this year. SUPRISE! They popped up and as I was coming in the house a couple days ago, I spotted a little flash of red and this is what I found.
The first tulip is peeking out!
This is what our back yard looked like as the hubs was pulling things out to put in the new patio made out of pavers. EEEKK! Not a pretty sight for sure!
Here is the patio built-up, but it still needed a little something around the edges.
Here is the finished patio! YAY! It doesn't take flowers, jewelry or sweet words to woo this lady. Just a house project crossed of the To-Do list will work for me! Now we have a place to put our muddy boots, the grill, suntan on, and chairs to sit out and enjoy the quiet country nights.

I love daffodils! Your pics are calming and beautiful!!!
You captured the "spirit of the meadowlark" perfectly -- that yellow and black breast catching the eye amidst the open prairie. It is so much fun to see spring open up before our eyes.
